The 2013 Goal is to raise over $1 Million dollars for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where no child is ever denied for their inability to pay. St. Jude is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. The hospital freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medial communities around the world. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance.
Summit Custom Homes and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital have teamed up for 3 years in a row to build the Kansas City St. Jude Dream Home. Summit has, to date, raised over $2,900,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
